There are two editors who will happily take whatever travel stories I can throw their way. Another says if I could send him a half-decent art story, he’d take it.
Hmm. Travel, travel, travel. Art, art, art. Okay, I got nothing.
I’ve done travel writing before here and there, but I’ve never actually pitched it as travel. I’ve come across something interesting, said, “Hey, this is super cool. Want it?” and bingo. I’ve never sat down and thought about writing a travel piece, and hence don’t know how to do it now.
Art. Well, who in their right mind would assign me an art story? But I’ve worked with an editor a few times, he likes my work, and will be happy to assign should I find myself staring at an obvious art story (like I’d know!)
Off to waste time on the Internet to see if I can come up with something.
