What’s Hot: Described as “A terrifying account of the Nazi death camp horror that turns a young Jewish boy into an agonized witness to the death of his family… the death of his innocence… and the death of his God,” this book delivers in every word, sentence and image. A heartbreaking true story and one that will stay with me for a very long time.
What’s Not: I can usually find holes in the best of works, but there is absolutely no criticism to be given to this one. The events and images described by Wiesel bring but one word to my lips: haunting.
My Verdict: If you haven’t read this one already, get it now. It now holds a special place in my top ten books of all time list.
