Yet Another E-Course: A Month of Marketing
One of the things that’s most difficult for new (or even established) writers is putting ourselves out there. Finding new markets, contacting editors, asking for work, selling our work basically.
About a month ago, when I was in Ghana, I decided to put in a concentrated marketing effort, and it did work for me—I made a little over $5,000 in a month. My biggest financial success yet.
Since those publications have yet to pay up, I’m racking up huge debts, and I would like to repeat that level of success, I decided to dedicate May ’08 to marketing.
Then I figured, hey, others could do this too.
So I’ve written up a small e-course—A Month of Marketing. I’ll be posting lessons every weekday here on this blog throughout the month of May. I’ll be marketing myself through the various tips I provide and encourage you to do the same.
If this is an inconvenient time for you, don’t worry. The lessons will remain archived on the blog from where you can access them any time. I’ll post an index once I’m through.
For people who worry about linking to these entries, go ahead! I ask that my work not be reprinted or republished without my permission, but I’m happy to have people link to me or post feedback on their own blogs. And if you’re super nice, I may even allow reprinting. You’ll have to e-mail me to discuss that though.
Ready to begin? We’ll start tomorrow.

Any plans to write a similar course with photographers in mind? A very basic one-small-step-at-a-time approach please. I promise I would link!

Don’t know much about photography, sorry. Wouldn’t even dream of being presumptuous enough to consider teaching anything related to it.
