Five years ago, I became a writer.

Four years ago, I graduated.

Three years ago, I almost gave in to the pressure to get married to someone I was dating but didn’t love.

Two years ago, I ate in a restaurant alone for the first time.

Two years ago, I traveled alone for the first time.

Two years ago, I lived alone for the first time.

One year ago, I flew alone for the first time.

One year ago, I believed in myself for the first time.

Six months ago, I loved myself for the first time.

Wonderfully written! Hoorah to the eating, living and travelling alone part. I always believe that doing these 3 things on your own at least once in your life can really get you connected with the ‘real’ you! have a happy week! :)

Yep, I agree. Though the “real” me keeps changing so frequently, I’m going to have to smack her and tell her to sit still for once! ;)

This is short and simple in a way, yet so powerful and moving. I agree with Meena, “wonderfully written!”

You are strong! Keep believing, trying, and succeeding. :-)
