Top Book Picks for 2007
I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if I didn’t give out book recommendations before the year end. It was a tough decision, but I have, after many many hours of deliberation, chosen my top picks of 2007.
The books I chose from were the books I read this year (no, you don’t get to see the full list), and I haven’t considered when they were published. The finalists are books that made me laugh, touched me, or changed me in some way. An important factor was also how painful it was to give some of them away (I give away ALL my books).
There were 80 contenders. 6 finalists. One clear winner. Here then, are my choices:

5. Artist’s Way: A Spiritual Way to Higher Creativity by Julia Cameron
4. The Hundred Secret Senses by Amy Tan
3. The Pact: A Love Story by Jodi Picoult
2. Traveling Mercies: Some Thoughts on Faith by Anne Lamott

These sound like good books, but I can’t imagine how you gave them all away! I’d shed a tear or two if I gave mine away. Well, I’ve given lots of books away before–just not my favorites.

Oh, I shed tears. I did it anyway. So many good books to read, so little time.
In 2008, I want to increase the number to 100.

didn’t read a single book last year!! IT reports and case studies and RSS feeds and movies … Movies cant match the book, however some of them were really awesome …of all the movies, three are must watch:
1. Freedom writers
2. Pursuit of happyness
3. Legend of bagger vance
(in decreasing order of preference, however all three are amazing). Freedom writers left me crying, inspired and thinking
Coming to books …Picked up and started A Thousand Splendid suns ….hope this would break the ice … amazingly vivid and captivating story …so far

Pursuit of Happyness was interesting, though I learned later, not completely accurate. Haven’t seen the other two.
My favorite movie award goes to an old, but awesome movie: Fight Club!

Fight club is ….awesome concept …btw i will like to add “stranger than fiction” to the list (at top with Freedom writers) … Brilliant movie
