Fruitcake. You don’t want to eat it, but you can’t return it. Why not see how far you can throw the holiday treat at the Great Fruitcake Toss? The Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau created the event 13 years ago. “We were bored, it was a nice winter day, and we had to do something with those darn fruitcakes,” says special events coordinator Floyd O’Neil.
